“Do you get WET?” asked the Water Election team. “We know a lot of voters do get WET. We know a lot of our politicians get WET.”
Today was the last day (for now) for the Fresh Water Embassy on the steps of Parliament House. It has been a mighty effort to staff the Embassy since December last year and this effort builds on the endurance of the Embassy at Clayton during the construction of the dam/regulator.
Today will not be the last day of WET. The team will be following whom ever is elected and reporting on their adherence (or otherwise) to their stated policies.
Today many supporters joined WET for a wet celebration. We put our feet up and enjoyed a cuppa from the trusty thermos. “No bottled water please,” read the invitation. The ReedWarblers joined in with songs and there was plenty of story telling.
